"In detail, miR-26a and let-7d have evidence as being antifibrotic, and so does miR-16, even if scientific evidence is limited to rat hepatic fibrosis; on the contrary, miR-21 and miR-210 have been demonstrated to be profibrotic agents. Although we were expecting down-regulation of antifibrotic and up-regulation of profibrotic miRNA comparing to healthy controls, our results showed down-regulation of all the analysed miRNAs."
